Romanian mathematicians


Was founded in 1931, with the headquarters in Paris and has as full members

- 96 member countries, reprezented by National Academies of Sciences or by National Research Councils (one of these is Romania, a founding member of ICSU, reprezented by the Romanian Academy),

- 29 international scientific unions (one of them is "International Mathematical Union (IMU)") in fields such as mathematics, (theoretical and applied) mechanics, astronomy, (theoretical and applied) phisics, biophisics, (theoretical and applied) chemistry, biochemistry, biology, molecular biology, geography, geology, geophisics, geodezy, psichology, antropology/etnography, some branches of medicine and agriculture, the science of materials, history and history of science etc.
