We have been regretfully announced that the universitary professor Mefodie Ratiu, habilitated PHD in mathematical-phisical sciences, member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldavia, has passed away at the age of 78.
Professor Mefodie Ratiu was member of ROMAI since its foundation, and gave support with his great Romanian soul. He was vice-president of ROMAI between 1996-2009.
His passing away leaves an empty place in the Romanian mathematics.
